Club Med La Pointe

Situated close to Grand-Baie, on the North West coast of Mauritius, the Club Med resort 'La Pointe aux Canonniers' is 60 minutes away from the international airport. The diving centre is ideally situated in the vicinity of the resort next to the jetty used for water sport activities. Using exclusively speed-boat, most of the dives sites are reached in less than 10 minutes allowing the divers to participate to other activities before and after the dives.

The Mauritian underwater world is amazing; exclusively made of reef or a mix of reef and huge stone blocks providing caves and overhangs for the pleasure of the scuba divers. The fauna is typical of the Indian Ocean with some endemic Mauritian species. Well known for its numerous beautiful shipwrecks, hiding a rich fauna, the advanced divers can visit them in less than 10 minutes by boat from the dive centre.

From May till October, several species of whales and dolphins are migrating and breeding along the coast of the island. Divers may have the luck to encounter them from the diving boat.
